zsnes commandline can I change controls?

I know there is a command line of zsnes with mame configuration already set. is it possible to change the controls? If so how would I do it.

http://www.screenshotarchive.com/downloads_emus.htm - get zSnesFe here.  Run the executable normally (i.e. not through a front end).  Use the menu to change the keyboard config.
