Vertical MAME Cabinet with TV
« on: May 24, 2004, 10:33:09 am »
I have a flat-screen (I know, hardly authentic but it looks damn good) Apex 20" TV that I want to use as a vertical display for my MAME cab.

Is it bad to have a television on its side? Will it crap out on me after doing this for a while? Since I'm not rotating it, it shouldn't have discoloration problems or require degaussing.  I plan to mount it within the cab on its side and keep it on its side, and of course, at a slight angle within the cabinet as well, probably at a solid 45 degree angle.

I realize this question is less of an arcade-specific question and more of a general televsion question, but this isn't exactly a very common question. ;)

I searched but couldn't find anything - I was actually very suprised not to, but probably didn't input proper search string?

Any help would be appreciated.
