Man i love this band and was so happy from them to do the reunion tour this year.

They just played a festival here in SoCal. Unfortunately I missed it, but a friend who saw it said it was outstanding.

In my yoot I wanted to see them but the shows always sold out :( I hear Frank Black has lost his magic and has been replaced with Jack Black!

Pixies!!!!  I am seeing them at Lalapalooza in NY this summer and then they are slated to play a string of shows in NYC in December.  One of my best friends knows Frank Black quite well (not his real name obviously), so whenever he plays we get to go and hang out backstage (mostly his solo shows the past 10 years).  There is a tiny, tiny change that my band will get to be one of the opening bands for the NYC shows - I doubt it, but it is still a possibility at this point (they are touring with an opening band but also have 1 or 2 locla bands in each city open up as well).  I can't wait for these shows!!!!!

how is he in person?
He seems like a very intelligent man from interviews etc.

Seems intelligent - I can't say I quizzed him on anything  :P  He is very down to earth, laid back - matter of fact type of guy.
