8Liners 25" Chassis.. My thoughts.
« on: May 18, 2004, 11:29:56 pm »
Received one of these the other day, and plugged it into my 27" tv from my bedroom. Image looked pretty good but it had jitter problems going full screen (I had to leave about a 1/4" unfilled)
Yesterday I went by a local TV shop that let me run around the back checking yolks with a meter. Found a nice 25" rca tube and took it.
(Price.. 0.00) Tonight I got around to hooking it to the 8liners and all I can say is WOW!. The pic is clear as a bell and solid.
It looks much better than my k7000 series 25" sitting a few feet from it.
The only issue that it seems to have is it doesn't like interlaced mode (Screen misses where the line are susposed to be drawn causing a very distorted pic). This can be fixed by shrinking the vertical size, but not a problem for non interlaced modes.

So for a 25" monitor on  the cheap.. I'm very happy.
(Now lets see if it survives the burnin tests tonight)
