SlikStik and RedOctane in cahoots?
« on: May 18, 2004, 02:35:20 pm »
Am I on some sort of black list when it comes to online vendors?  I have now been trying to get in contact with redoctane for two weeks and have gotten no response!

Another week gone by and still no response.  Your customer service is lacking... uh, let's say, customer service.

I originally sent this on the 4th as you can see below in the "Sent:" line.  I'm sending it again as it has been a week now and I have recieved no response.  I'm not upset or anything, just sending it as a reminder...

Thanks,
Will

Subject: Non-Working PCB

I ordered the arcade enclosure with the playstation pcb not too long ago, order #101123, and the pcb doesn't seem to work.

I figured that the ground must be one of the larger connectors since there's 5... 4 for the joystick 1 for the ground so I tried them all with eachother and nothing happens.  I also tried all the small connectors with the rest of the connectors and still nothing happens.

If there's something that I might be doing wrong please let me know as that would be better for me, not having to wait for the shipping to you and back.

If I can get a replacement, I'd prefer to just cut a little groove to the hole where the cord comes out and just send back the pcb if that's posible.

Thanks,
Will

I'm about to give up on shopping online!  It's more hassle than it's worth.

For those that are "out of the loop," I had a bunch of problems a little while back with slikstik and that is what that is all about.

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

With all the spam out there, the (three?) emails might have been trapped by their filters.  Unlikely all three but possible.  Did you try using the PRA form to get a return authorization number?  Or the toll free number on their site?

With places I do business with, I'll try twice with email, and then the third attempt will be by phone.  Most of the time they have a reasonable explanation, if I even bother to mention anything.

I was able to contact RedOctane regarding a sales question really easily.  Maybe you should ask a sales question in combination with your other question.

Are you sure your subject line isn't something like
"Non-Working PCB, lose weight now, enlarge your penis and hot babes now"? :)
Nobody owns the plesure of tones, that belong to a guy with no ear.
