Help on certain games
« on: May 16, 2004, 11:33:17 am »
on my mame, most of the games work, but some of the newer ones, like mortal kombat when i start to load it up on the screen its just is like all scratchy and stretchy, like a bunch of colored lines flying everywhere, i think it might be my monitor, cuz my monitor is really old, and i know it has nothing to do with mame because i also loaded it on my friends comp with my same cds and all the games work fine, does anyone know what is wrong? or have the same problem?
Coming soon: 4 player mame cab and Scratch built Moonwalker....Hall of Fame, here I come!

I would suggest checking the maximum resolution of your monitor.  If it isn't capable of the resolution a game needs, then the game can't be displayed properly.  You could also tell Mame what resolution to use to try avoiding problems.
