Front end you recommend for multiple Emulators
« on: May 13, 2004, 04:20:01 pm »
WinMame32
Genesis
NeoGeo
SNes
Nes
Sega Saturn

Am I dreaming of does a Front end exist that will optimize and use all of those Emulators?  If not no worries, I will just build a launcher front end in C++ to each program.  Just thought I would askif there was a nice front end for it.

Thanks,
Andy

With Howard's wrapper programs you can use just about any of the great frontends to launch just about any emulator. (with a bit of work on your end)

If you have the knowledge to write your own apps, you should have no problem setting up his wrappers.

Look for wrappers on the right

Oh and you might want to look at the front end also.  But if it isn't right for you, still look at the wrappers.  The make things a lot easier.

My favorite is Kymaera, not only can it support multiple emulators, you can mix them within a list if you wish.

MAMEWah, and GameLauncher also support multiple emulators.

I think some of the other do as well, but I'm not sure which ones.
Real Life.  Still a poor substitute for video games!

Another option is Game Launcher.  It will work with any command line emulator.

Cool, thanks a lot.

Looks like I got my research to do and editing to do.
