area 51 Time warner
« on: May 12, 2004, 11:04:50 pm »
I am having a problem with this game. IT plays but I get an error when I audit it. What were we supposed to do the the CHD's to get it to work correctly? I have an "area51" folder in my roms folder that has 2 chd's: area51 and area51a. I have applied the patch. The other 2 versions audit and play fine.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Todd

Auditing often produces incorrect results, as strange as that might be.

Also, IIRC this is a Mame bug.

Also...what version of Mame are you using?  I think it's fixed as of .82

I use regular mame in my cab. The audit problem was is mame32.82. I often use mame32 on my desktop when I am upgading. The game will run and play but it won't audit. (still has the black missing icon)

Thanks

How very odd.  Mine audits fine.

Use ClrMAME and check your sets.
