help i think my graphics card has died

here is the display i get when in the DOS post screen if i allow it to continue to startup windows i get similar colourful displays of random garbage (in generally vertical lines). any ideas on what the cause is? I got the same result when I tried the card in another PC.

Well, if the problem follows the card, I think you've found your point of failure.  Can't really give you tips on how to repair something like that.  What kind of card is it?

its an sapphire 9600xt - looks like i need to RMA...

I hope you get it taken care of.  I just bought my gfx card and hoping it will be here by the end of the week.  It doesn't have a very long warrenty, so once I get it, it's going in a box and running 24x7 for a couple of days. ;D How long did yours last before it started acting up?
