Help!! Arcade montior overhaul
« on: May 10, 2004, 02:35:38 am »
Hi guys,  I just got myself a working 26' Jamma cabinet which I want to Mame.  I think the cab is pretty old, and I am thinking what I need to refurbish the sucker so I dont have to maintain it.

My problem is that I think the monitor might be a little stuffed.  The colours don't seem to be 100% particularly a green colouring in the corners (attached pic) I am hesitant about continuing buing Jamma and stuff unless I am sure thats the way I want to go.   Can this be easily fixed?  Is this a re-capping problem?

It looks like either your monitor needs to be degaussed, or there's a magnet somewhere near it.  Speaker?

Yup, it needs to be manually degaussed with a degaussing coil.
