ArcadeVGA - mamewah's resolution tool help please!
« on: May 08, 2004, 08:10:10 am »
Hi all, having heaps of fun finally with my cab - one thing that is a bit of a pain is the resolution issue - trying to set each game up to run with out the flickering. I've downloaded arcadevga resolution tool - but apart from lucking out with the odd game, I'm not 100% sure on how to run it effectively - can I make one big ini file to cover all games and not need to run it each time?

many thanks ???

Use the File menu to set your MAME exe location, ArcadeVGA.txt location (it will be in the Res. Tools installation folder), and your MAME INI path,
Then check the settings are ok in the Resolution Selection' menu,
Hit 'Auto-Select MAME Resolutions',
Now hit File > Generate INI File(s).

It should stick a load of files into your ini folder, which will be used by MAME when you launch a game.  Just make sure your INI folder is started correctly in your mame.ini file.
