Before anyone asks, the bezel and control panel overlay were both designed by me, I had them printed at www.classicarcadegraphics.com which was cheap and painless.

The windows in the side of the cab have sound activated cold cathodes behind them, so when you get hit, insert a coin, or have some descent bass, you get nice green flashes.

Videos and more pics soon to come.

Is your link on a redirect? The page won't load and the url is skewed.

I really like lowboys.  If I make a second cab... after I make a first... it would be a lowboy.  Good job!

Nice extra is that people have something to read when they are not playing.

Some more pics, but they aren't wonderful, can't get one to do the machine justice.

Thanks for the compliments guys. This machine was modeled somewhat after my Taito Egret 29. The monitor in this machine is 27" and is Picture in Picture, nothing like playing some MAME and watching the game at the same time.

I've got a video of the sound reactive lighting..but its hard to make out. Gonna make a new one this week with my MiniDv camcorder.

Short, squatty, no marquee.  Same basic shape.

No disrespect was intended.  I was simply making an observation.  I liked the idea of a lowboy enought to build one.  I like this example as well.   His project looks well thought out.   Again, I am not wanting any sort of ugly business. ;)

I know you didn't mean anything.  I just came from the T-Molding alternative thread directly to this one.  Just wanted to nip it in the bud before somebody took something wrong.  It's an unwritten rule that we can only have 2 people going at each others throats at one time.  ;)

There both short ... that's about the only likeness I see.

Two completely different designs though (structurally)

Damn dude ... you have the Taito Egret 29" .. which one I or II?? (the first has to be one of the best looking sitdown cabinets I've ever seen ... don't know what they were thinking when they designed II though ... hehe)
