Mame....and working games.
« on: May 05, 2004, 01:26:03 am »
Well, I've upgraded to the newest version of mame...(from .71) only to find a bunch of games that don't work. I'm not complaining, since there are still a ton of games for me to feast on...I was just wondering what the skinny is on some of the games that have been added and bumped to working if they aren't working? :P

This isn't in the mame faq, it should be though.

Prior to mame version .74 drivers that were being worked on were contained in the source code, but commented out with "test driver" status.  In version .74 this system was abandoned.....  now all drivers, even incomplete ones are in the compiled version of mame.  However if you type mame.exe -gamelist then you'll get details on which games are working.
