arcade monitor orientation
« on: April 29, 2004, 09:28:27 am »
I'm considering building a cocktail cabinet and am very new to MAME in general.

On my current desktop PC the normal orientation is horizontal and therefore vertical games are displayed sideways unless I use -autoror.

I am considering putting an arcade monitor into the cabinet I build and was wondering what the native orientation of an arcade monitor is? Is it still horizontal and will I need the -autoror still or does it display vertically by default?

Additionally, I know this has been asked many times and there are many different answers but - what would you consider to be my best 19" arcade monitor for a cocktail cabinet? Keep in mind price/quality. I am looking at the Happ 19" Vision Pro VGA. Any comments??
