« on: April 25, 2004, 02:58:05 pm »
I am farily new to this site and was wondering if it is possible to hack the newest generations of consoles to use cabinet controls? if so where are some good sites showing how to do this?

http://members.cox.net/joysticks/ - XBOX
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jdpyle1/controls.htm - PS2/Xbox

I don't know of a website that shows how to connect a gamecube controller to arcade controls, but I am pretty sure it can be done.  Also, once you have hacked one controller you should probably be able to do another system without a tutorial.

Do they hack the Analogs? Couldn't I buy a PS2 one and use it in either DC, XBOX, PSX or PS2?? with one of those convertors?

I don't know of one.  I think you'd probably be better off playing games that require the analog stick with the original controller rather then arcade controls anyway.

That controller includes interfaces for all three, or has to use a PS->? converter?  I can't quite tell from the description (and the ad says Platform: PS2).

If so, that's a decent deal, a labor-saver, and I would imagine those style of controllers are easier to hack than the smaller hand-held ones.

What was that again?

Ok if analog can not be hacked can it be configured in most games to use digital? SNAKE the hack you do supports all the formats correct?

Most games use digital.Very few forces you to use analog(silent hill 2 for example).
