D9200: Are there any equivalents?
« on: April 25, 2004, 02:30:48 pm »
Has anyone found an equivalent to the D9200, ie a monitor that will handle 15, 25, 31 Khz and has on-screen display and remembers settings for each resolution?
I don't know of any other monitor which will do this.
As far as I am aware the Hantarex Polo Star is not a contender with no settings memory and is not designed to switch resolutions on-the-fly.
Neotec do a full-range monitor but I suspect it is similar to the Hantarex.
There are several Korean suppliers who do full-range (very cheap!) again similar to the Hantarex.
The fact is, a real arcade machine simply never would need full multisync capability with OSD so I suppose it's quite surprising the D9200 even exists.
Anyone found an alternative?

Andy

I also tought that the hantarex polostar would of been a good alternative, seems not.
I heard that wells gardner might be coming out with a 25" version of the d9200, any news on this?

P.S Andy any news on the updated Arcade VGA supporting medium resolutions etc?

Does the D9200 only come in 27"??

The monitor sounds great from what I've read, but 27" is way too big for my liking...
