Build Your Own Baby Girl Project Completed (Or just started depending on how you look at it)

Miss Sydney Leigh was born April 19 at 5:17pm and came in at 8lbs 4oz and 20" long.  She is a living doll and looking forward to her very own arcade game (shhh don't tell Mom)

I really prefer the Wico's to be honest with you.

Tell the wife excellent work, hell of a cute kid. Still remember when we had ours. I needed more drugs than my wife!

My friend Ryan just completed a similar project. His Ms. Pac cocktail is still in the planning stage after almost a year of marriage, but his BYOBG project came out of nowhere!
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Love the pink oversized sideart! Pink artwork always look best on a BG  ;D

BTW It's amazing how many people here have a baby and/or a cat.

Congrats!!! Having BYOBG 11-1/2 months ago, I must say it's one of my best works... :)

As for alot of people having a baby, it's that time of life for most of the "retro-arcade" people. I would think most of us are in the 25-35 range, which is typically when people settle down, have families, and build arcade cabs! :)

Someone who is 17 probably never played Pac-Man on a cab. Geez, what to do with no buttons!?!?!? Would've never thought I'd be playing my PS2 with 8 buttons (not including select or start), and button pad and 2 joysticks. :)

Congratz !!!
Also, I love the name  :D .
My daughter's name is Sydney as well.
Try to spend as much time with her as possible because they grow up fast. My kids are 6 and 7 now and it seems like yesterday they were newborns.
Oh and help mom as much as you can, she'll thank you for years to come.

Not to argue, but I'm 14 and the classics is why I built my cabinet.  I collected Atari stuff before I started doing arcade stuff.  But I guess I'm a little strange compared to most my age  :P

This will be very similar to most BYOAC projects in that you got very excited to build it at first, it annoyed your wife (and likely caused her discomfort) for about 9 months, and now that it's built you will still tweak the software for years on end.  Good luck!

Seriously, though, congratulations!
