daphne names and mamewah

The one problem with daohne I have not solved is proper names showing up in mamewah. I have a file named daphne.nms that is as follows:

Astron Belt (Hitachi)\astron
Astron Belt (Pioneer)\astronp
Badlands\badlands
Bega's Battle\bega
Cliff Hanger|cliff
Cliff Hanger (Alt)\cliffalt
Cobra Command|cobraab
Dragon's Lair (US Enhanced 1.1L)\dle11
Dragon's Lair (US Enhanced 2.0)\dle20
Dragon's Lair (US Rev F2)\lair
Esh's Aurunmilla\esh
Galaxy Ranger\galaxy
Goal To Go\gtg
Space Ace (US Enhanced 1)\sae
Space Ace (US Rev A3)\ace
Star Blazer\blazer
Super Don Quix-ote (Long)\spq
Super Don Quix-ote (Short)\sdpshort
Thayer's Quest\tq


I have checked to be sure that the file extention is .nms and not .nms.txt (like someone esle mentioned) and this file is in the folder with the daphne exe and bat file.
I still get the names of the framefiles on refresh.

Any thoughts?

You are using a slash '\' for most of those games not a pipe '|'...

I think that's the correct term for it.  I am somewhat more familiar with pipes of other kinds ;)
