Reading game titles
« on: April 21, 2004, 03:08:04 pm »
I am running Windows XP, with Mame32, and The list, is just a bit past illegible, I mean it is really tough to make out what games are what.

I have a 27 inch TV through S-Video with the newest Geforce drives.

Is there a front end that makes the titles more legible, I mean on a 15 inch computer monitor they are crystal clear, but on the TV it is definetly illegible.

Some tips:
  • Use SCART (RGB), not S-video
  • Lower the resolution of your desktop to 640x480
  • Set a larger point font for your desktop
  • Do not use DirectX scaling to full screen as it blurs the picture
  • The cable from your PC to the TV should be as short as possible. It should be properly shielded as well.
