k7000 cap help. (Updated)
« on: April 19, 2004, 09:44:32 pm »
I removed c57 before I looked at the orientation. The board is not clear on this cap, which way should it be installed?

+ towards the fuse?

or

+ towards the flyback?

Thanks,
later,
dabone

Update:

I was installing the cap kit to get rid of a blooming problem. I'm using a arcade vga card and I've tried it with and without the amp. I'm getting a large blooming effect, I also put in a new hot today to see if that had any effect. (It didn't). Using mamewah as a front end just scrolling thru the games selection can cause the screen to jump nearly a inch. (it's a 25" model)
It never looses sync it just changes size. (Jumps either smaller or larger then goes back to the set size, per how much is being displayed on the screen)

I see bob roberts has get well kits with the flyback and associated parts with it.

Later,
