MAMEWAH AND SEGA CD
« on: April 16, 2004, 05:32:08 pm »
Hello all!

I just got MAMEWAH to work with the GENS Emulator 2.11 for Sega CD games.  Everything works fine except the needed MP3 files for sound never play, so I basically never have backround music.  I know mamewah is the problem because when I use Gens seperatley everything is fine, I hear all the music that should be there.  I have my Iso and mp3 files all named correctly with the corect naming convention.  Has anyone had the same issues?  If so how can I get around it?  Maybe a batch file or some other workaround?  Any help would be great, thanks in advance!

Try Sending long filenames to Gens.

Depending on how you have named your files, If the filenames are over 8 char's the command that MAMEWAH sends and the name of the MP3's don't match so Gens will not play the MP3 files. It took me a while to figure this out but i got there in the end ;D

Hope this helps.
