Frontend screen res with arcade monitor?
« on: April 15, 2004, 08:36:03 pm »
I just recently got an arcadevga and while 640x288 looks nice, it sure doesn't leave you very much screen real estate for nice elements in the front end.

So what res do you all normally use for your front end? Do you just run at 640x480 and make your fonts a lot larger?

thanks,
-jimC

Most frontends these days are skinnable...

320x240 is perportionally the same as 640x480.  So change it around and use that.  The only trouble is you will want to 1/2 the fonts.

But other then that... it should be very similar.

640x288 is also good... but you will have more 'issues' with redesigning the screens.

but stay away from interlaced... it will bug the crap out of you after a while
