2nd hand Arcade monitors in UK
« on: April 09, 2004, 11:46:05 am »
Hi

I would like to build a MAME cab with 19" arcade monitor.

Does anyone know of best method of obtaining good 2nd hand arcade monitor in the UK?

should I approach an arcade operator directly?

I know one will occasionally come up on ebay.co.uk but getting too impatient waiting

What sort of price should I consider paying for good condition unit?

Are particular models better/desirable?

What things to look out for when buying 2nd hand?

Also can all monitors be oriented vertically, horizontally and facing up (as in cocktail cab) ?

cheers

- richard

I have a 25inch you can have for free if you pay shipping.
It has some issues though.

New York,

The picture is fuzzy and it has horizontal lines.
I really didnt try to tweak it so who knows some
adjustments could fix it.

I could take the monitor off your hands - are you anywhere near Huntington?

I'm in Vermont.

Sorry about 'email' I meant 'PM.'  You sent me a PM earlier about the D9200, and I thought it was the same issue.
