WG4616 + ArcadeVGA sync problems
« on: April 07, 2004, 09:24:26 am »
Howdy all,
I've got a WG4616 and the ArcadeVGA card. My problem is that my monitor does not stay in sync very well. It seems every time the screen mode changes, the monitor loses sync and time a long time to sync back up. Sometimes it doesn't sync back up at all, and I've got to fiddle around with the hsync and vsync controls, or dis-connect and re-connect the sync line to get the monitor to sync.

I have it tweaked right now so that windows will appear synced after it boots, but the bios and boot screens are not synced.

Is this a common problem? How can I fix it? Will a cap kit to the chassis help? I've re-capped the 2 daughter boards but not the main chassis board.

All Hail Smezznar! The Giant purple centipede of Omnicron 5. Regail him with your odiferous offerings of onion powder!

Yes you need to cap the main board! That's the most important board.
