anyone know how to get rid of the little line that goes up my screen..?

Im running mame32.81 with and Athlon XP 2600 and I have alittle line that goes up my screen sometimes.  Its like a refresh or something like that.  I know its not my monitor or computer because it doesnt happen except in mame.   Could someone help me out here..? thanks

go and read up about mame and screen modes.
Its a refresh issue.

Can be MOSTLY fixed with settings.

try turning on vsync or tripple buffering.... if that doesn't work try turning off frame skipping.
