Older version of Daphne emulator?

Anyone know where to find older versions of the Daphne emulator?

Did older versions support Goal to go? Why did it stop?

I recently picked up - by complete fluke - a build of Daphne that reports itself as 0.99.7cvs in the logfile (cf 0.99.6 as latest on the Daphne web) and it supports extra games including Dragon's lair II:timewarp (seems to work, although there is no seektest), goal to go and Mach 3. It also lists GP World, Firefox, Dragon's Lair PAL, Star Rider as non-working along with some altered hardware versions.

Is there a valid place to download newer versions (presumably beta?) - this one was spanish I think??

cvs is not supported because it's beta... also you have to compile it yourself..... actually the spanish site should be reported


When cliff hanger's overlay was broken goal to go worked, when they fixed the bug, goal to go's overlay was broken, causing a constant black screen.

i have daphne 0.99.5 don't know if GTG works i this version.

Aha, Yes I had my suspicions when 0.99.7 was not on the daphne website (I thought I had just missed a release)....

For your info, 0.99.7cvs still reports problems with goal to go....

According to the version history, Goal to Go was added
in 99.4 and Broken in 99.6 when Cliff Hanger was
fixed.

I really appreciate the trouble you've gone through but those links don't help a bit.

See GtG was broken as early as the 94 updates:

The 95 links work but the 94 link doesn't... not only that but it sends you to pop-up hell when you click on the link.  Next time try a link before you post it.  

luckily arcade@home doesn't throw anything out

I believe they have every single version of daphne, you'd just have to know the zip file name.

My bad on the 94 link, I think I must have grabbed the wrong one.

Like I said in my email, I had no way to test GtG, because I did not have the MPEG files.  Someone on the Daphne Forum said they were using 95 to run GtG.

I am curious, does anyone know were to find a "side 2" mpeg. I ripped a disk I bought off ebay but the back side had a lot of laser rot. Would like to get a clean copy of side 2.

So I take it that version 0.99.7 is in alpha or beta right now (unsupported)? and that once 99.7 is released (as final) it will support Dragon's Lair II; is that right?

99.7 doesn't exist

people are calling the compiled version of the wip source that you can get if you are on the developer's list 99.7

They are calling it 0.99.7 because that is pretty much what it says it is.

The first line of the Daphne_log.txt reads as: --DAPHNE version 0.99.7cvs

Goal to Go is still broken in the 0.99.7cvs version. It is broken in 0.99.5 and 0.99.6.

Goal to Go does work in 0.99.4 although it reports that there are overlay problems.

It appears that Mach3 and Dragon's Lair 2 are supported in 0.99.7, but I have not tested them yet.
