Multiplayer Issues
« on: March 31, 2004, 08:04:36 pm »
I'm trying to play a three player game. The website that I downloaded the rom from says that there's support for three players, yet I only have the option to play as two.

I'm using Mame32 with two USB controllers and a PC to PS2 Serial cable adapter.

What game?  Sometimes you need to configure the actual game arcade game to tell it that their are 3 controllers available.  To do this, launch the game in mame and then press F2 (Service).   See if you have the option to switch it from a 2 player machine to a  3 player machine.

The game is Battletoads. I did what you said, and went into dipswitch settings. I was unable to change it to three player mode.

Suggestions?

You have to turn 3 player mode on for that game in the dipswitches.  Launch it.  Press tab.  Go to dipswitches.  Turn on 3 player mode.
