256 color mode
« on: March 24, 2004, 02:46:30 pm »
Hi all,

I tried searching the forums for the answer to this.  I have my cabinet set up, and my monitor works and I can navigate my Win 98SE fine.  But when I try to run mame or other console emu's, it says that I need to run 256 color mode.  Okay, so I go to Control Panel/Display/ but am only given the option of 16  bits or 2 bit (which would be fine for first generation game boy games ...  :D)  So, what am I doing wrong here?  Is it a driver issue?

thanks for your insight.

Hi again,

after some web searching - I found the solution.  :)  It was a driver issue and my card wasn't identified. :(

here is a link in case you ever need to identifiy unknown PCI.
