Arcade Emu using Pc speaker???
« on: April 08, 2004, 05:30:53 am »
Ok it might sound wierd but i wanna know if there is a arcade emu which runs anything even 1 game that uses the PC speaker?

i'm building a Tabletop cab using a old 486 dx2 50mhz laptop and the problem is it said it had sound but when i looked it had a add-on card for sound and the laptop had no card :(

right now it runs vantage and has about 80 games to play like space invaders galaga and donkey kong but the problem is no sound :(

the laptop has no floopy and its basiclly useless now so i was hoping there was a emu even if it's just pong or 1 of the b&w games that uses sound.

I know its alot to ask :( i dont think any emu's use pc sound

u can see pics of the laptop running galaga in

Yeah, that thing is pretty nifty.

Be warned though, the sound quality is horrible.

Sounds good but it says it only plays wav files and it doesnt look like it will play the sounds from the arcade emu.

Nice work tho thanks PacManFan

Hmm... I could have sworn that worked for all wave out sounds (ie anything but cd audio and midi sounds).... I'll see what I can dig up.
