No sound Mame32 on laptop

Hey guys,

I hope I posted this in the right place... First post so I'm a little unsure.

Here's the deal. I'm running Mame32 on my P2 300 Thinkpad, no sound. Mame32 on my desktop is fine. Looked around but couldn't find the answer. Any help is much appreciated!
