MAMEWah Help SlikStik related
« on: March 18, 2004, 08:36:02 am »
I rencently bought a slikstik quad and I'm having some trouble. When I received the unit, some of the button mappings were off so I reconfigured them with the WinPac. Now that everything is good(within WinPac...when I hit the correct button the right one depresses) I can not get the slikstik default.ini file to load when I start MAME. In other words it keeps the older settings when the unit was mapped wrong. Is there a setting within Mamewah that allows you to load this .ini file. I tried putting a "mame [game_name] -ctrlr slikstik" command line in mameconfig.ini and still nothing. Maybe I'm overlooking the obvious. thanks

Hopefully this will help.

1. Have mame generate the ini file.  I use no name mame and when you double click it lists the option.  I'm sure mame has it in the documentation.

2. Open up the generated ini file.  Remove the # before ctrlr and add SlikStik as an option.

That should work.  Assumng your slikstik default.ini is in the ctrlr directory and your ctrlr directory is in the mame directory.  While you are in the mame ini file enable the mouse.
