Pick something with her name in it.

Ok, today I had a REALLY good idea. You know how there is a song for almost every girl's name out there? Well today I had the bright idea of making a CD with the song for every girl I know on it, you know, JUST IN CASE and then many years later I didn't want this floating around so I edited it.

All right, I know this isn't about a PERSON, but April Showers by Caedmon's Call.

Tiffany...Breakfast at Tiffany's....I don't think you can get much better than that!

Also, if you don't know the Beatles song, you probably won't like it.  It's actually pretty good to me, but I like the Beatles.  They aren't a "GOD I GOTTA HEAR 'EM" band to me, so I don't know the exact name of the song, but the lyric is like "ma belle mee shell".

What about throwing Mambo #5 on there....that oughta cover a lot of bases!  lol

*edit*
what kinda music do you like?  Do you require something in that genre or doesn't really matter?  I see from MxPx to Styx, so that's quite a range, but I wanna make sure

I am open to a wide, wide range. Not much for rap though, except for a few exceptions (80s pop-rap, Public Enemy, Faithless).

I don't go in much for anything made past 1999 or so, that is when I sort of fell off the music radar. Not that I might not like it, but I don't have much familiarity with newer stuff.

I am actually probably super eclectic in my tastes, but tend towards stuff that makes my friends groan. Like a good mix CD for ME will have like Alice Cooper, Tatu, Petra, Toy Box, a Public Enemy/Herp Alpert remix, Aqua, the B-52s, Brian Eno, Alien Antfarm, and some sort of video game music on it, in roughly that order.

If I recall from looking at a few of your posts, you and your friends are Christians.  I believe Chris Rice did some Becky song, but I don't have THAT CD of his.

The "Sarah" song I'm thinking of I can't remember who did, but I'll name a few groups that have kinda that sound I'm thinking of and mebbe you can search 'em like that...Jefferson (Starship OR Airplane, I don't know which version), Foreigner, could Toto have done it? REO Speedwagon, one of that era bands sang a Sarah song

jeez lookit that timing!  Airplane and Starship are different flavors of the same band, I bet that's who did it.

Oh and yes, most of my friends are christians, and ANY girl I would date will be one.

I'd say check out that Chris Rice song, then.  I think even some of his stuff that HASN'T made radio play is pretty good, but that's for you to decide.  I saw a few live shows which were a good time for all, so I'm kinda biased there.

One other suggestion I'll offer.  Perhaps cross-post this in the Jukebox/mp3 forum, or move it.  This forum seems to be read more often than that one, though.

I figured I'm awake...I'll take a look at some for you...and found this: Yngwie J. Malmsteen / Facing The Animal  Like An Angel - For April

From what I recall, though, Yngwie just did instrumentals.  I could be mistaken.

Deep Purple also is listed with "April".  I only know common Deep Purple, though.  That one wasn't.

April seems to be a "month" type of song, like that Caedmon's one I posted.  Hmph

Starship's Sara, is a song about not getting the girl so if you have any interest in her that way, this might not be the best choice...
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Michelle (apparently a Beatles tune, anyone heard it?)

You have to be kidding. Were you raised on another planet? How could you not know that song? IMO probably one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. You aren't going to find a better one with the name Michelle in it.

Well, actually I recently decided that I wasn't going to be getting Sarah, and told her as much, and of course being a girl, she immediately increased her interest level dramatically.

That's actually quite common in men and women, It's called reactance theorum, She's reacting to the fact you are making yourself un-available to her. You've limited her freedom of choice, because now to her, you are no longer an option, so, she's reacting against that by pursuing you.

It's like a certain story about an apple and a snake ;) wink wink, nudge nudge. The sweetest temptations are the ones you can't have.

This is why there are different genres of music!  My friend thinks Jim Morrison (and by transference, The Doors) are the second coming of Christ, while I merely tolerate them!  I'm quite sure there are bands you haven't heard of that Paige would be wondering the same thing about you!

Besides, I thought the 8 toes on each of his webbed feet tipped you off on the "other planet" thing! ;D

You may not want to use Lorelei by Styx.  The lyrics go, "Lorelei, let's live together."

I guess if you're proposing to her, she won't take offense, but if not...    ;)

My Michelle (from Appetite for Destruction)
Might be a little out of place on this compilation, but give it a listen

"Sara Smile" by Daryl Hall & John Oates (I personally enjoy this song).  It's a more romantic song than Starship's Sara.  If your not familiar with this song you can at least read the lyrics.

You could try searching on a P2P file sharing network. I don't know any of these songs, but a search for "Becky" gave:
- J-Walk   Buggin' Becky
- Chris Knight   Becky's Bible
- Dreamcatcher   Becky Bleeds
- Hattori Katsuhisa   Avec Becky
- Leadbelly   Becky Deem, She Was a Gamblin' Girl
- Talons-Aiguilles   La guitarra de Becky
- The Given   Becky May

they don't sound too romatic though  ::) (Becky Bleeds ... brings up thoughts of a monthly girly problem ... YUK!)
