Vision Pro 19'' scan rate problems

i am using dos mamek6 and arcade os. on a lot of games the screen will flash and say the game is out of h range.  is there any way to force the range to work. i tried advance mame but either the game would be scrambled or the menu would be scrambled. so after hours of fooling around i found advanced mame to much work. on that note i would like to find a solution with plain mame and arcadeos.
