Post your high score! (lol) (V21 now)
« on: September 26, 2026, 11:26:48 am »
This game was designed by me, but entirely coded by ChatGPT.  It's a browser game, but wrapped as a stand-alone EXE.

Old timers will recognize the play mechanics.  I think it's a pretty good example of where we are with AI and actually using it to re-create some of our favorites the way we always wanted them to be.

Also, I didn't code a single line of this, so if it eats your computer (it shouldn't) not my fault :)  Let me know what you think.

Pressing F11 will make it full screen, 1 starts the game.

*edit* Now 10 levels and some extra challenges after level 5!  The game will automatically go full screen now and save the high score between games.

One of my Fav from C=64.

Same here.  I haven't played it for many years, but it was always my "go to" for a bit of fun on that system.  The thruster-game mechanic always felt like it was best suited for a vector-style game, so I turned it into one, all from just my memory of the game.  One of the cool things about AI is one can just add new things on the fly, as long as one doesn't mind prodding them into existence, even if it wasn't part of the original.

I think it's very playable, considering it only took about 5 hours of direction total to create.

BTW, my current high score is 29838 :)  There's currently only 5 different levels, so it goes back to the first one after that.  I'll probably keep messing with it to add some things, just for fun.

*edit* Game expanded to 10 different levels plus more stuff happening.
