Cloning a Golden Tee 2025 spring drive to ssd
« on: June 05, 2026, 09:53:28 am »
Hello,

I have made several attempts to clone a spinning hard drive to SSD with no luck.  I have tried R Disk Image, Macrium, Disk Genius.  I have read the raw copy is the best, but I am having a difficult time with it since the source drive is 500gb and my target is 128gb.  Golden Tee only uses about 55gb of space.  Has anyone done this recently, any tips?

Did you try all those from the command line?  I've long used Macrium from within Windows. It automates and allows setting differences in source and target.

i have a superspeed standalone cheapy drive station/duplicator (similar to startech brand) and as long as the drive i'm dumping onto is bigger than the original, ive had very few issues with it or it's copies. use them for golden tee/big buck hunter/touchtunes harddrives all the time.

it looks like tha guts are the same as the startech branded ones... so you could probably use that with no issues as well.
