Merit Scorpion Dart Machine problem
« on: Yesterday at 09:04:05 am »
Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Scorpion dart machine by Merit, for up to eight players.

It powers on correctly, all the lights work, and the coin mechanism is working and accepting credits without any issues.

The problem appears when I try to select a game, whether it’s 301, 501, Cricket, etc. The machine makes an error-like sound and won’t go any further. It doesn’t let me select the number of players or anything else — it’s as if, when you press a game, it immediately kicks you back without actually entering the game.

In the case of Cricket, when I press it, the numbers 20, 19, 18, 17, etc. do light up, but once again it throws me back before I can choose players or continue.

As an extra detail, I’ve already checked the DIP switches and they are all set to their factory/default positions.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows where I could start looking?

This is my first dartboard machine, and I’m a bit afraid of touching things blindly.

Best regards, and thanks in advance to all the forum members.
