  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
I struggled for the last 3-4 years to get different computers to run this thing.  My mame cabinet (slickstik from 20 years ago) has it mounted.  I just couldn't get it to work with modern computers.  Just last week I had it up and running at 640x480/60hz finally in windows but it kept making a clicking noise and the video would "snap" back into place like it was locking sync or source.  I've never ran it higher than 640x480.

It used to say something like "signal out of range" when it was unplugged or windows signal wasn't going into it correctly but as of 2 days ago I hear it turn on, but I don't see that built in message any more.

It may be dead or it may be fixable.  I know there aren't a whole lot of these out there.

I've given up on CRT, my last hair has been pulled.  I bought a Odysey G5 32" and I'm installing big box.

If anyone wants this monitor (can fix it or use it for parts or whatever) I'm happy to hand it over for free.  If I get no responses I'll just trash it but thought if anyone could fix it up and use it they would be here.  If it's a simple fix and I'm just a dumb sucker then that's ok too - I tried my hardest.

I'm in Florida, near Sarasota.  PM for details if you want it.

Anyone thinking of getting it - 1) it's 32" and heavy AF.  2) I know there are capacitors in there that can kill you and the tube is exposed.  You need to know what you're doing - I'm not responsible if you or anyone you bring with you don't.
