Resurrecting Sinistar: A Cyber-Archaeology Documentary
« on: April 30, 2025, 09:44:30 pm »

This is absolutely LEGENDARY !!!

An amazing man... managed to study the original Sinistar assembly source code... and eventually get it to
compile into a functional game, in mame.

He discovered hidden / disabled features, such as a  "Thruster Effect"  ,that had been disabled / removed
from the game, and has re-enabled it,  in a new version of the game.

And most Importantly...  He spend a good deal of time,  Altering the Games Difficulty Ramp... which had
been badly butchered, due to Williams Management, Forcing and Rushing the Devs to make the game Harder,
to appease the Coin-OP customers (whom complained about how long new players were lasting on a single
quarter).

He also was behind another games Revitalization / Preservation efforts:   "Star Rider"

In his video, he has modern interviews with many of the Original Sinistar Programmers,
what it took to figure out the Code,  Talk about the Sound Hardware.. and where the vocals came from,
and Soooo much more.

It truly is the stuff of Legends!
