Conversion Cab Close 2 Completion
« on: March 08, 2004, 10:40:02 pm »
You know how you have so many projects going on at once that you never have enough time to devote to just one? Well, this project (1 of 452) is almost done. All I need now is some sideart... Can't decide if I want to go custom or use some cool NOS art. And now that it's nearing completion, I think I want to change to green t-molding. Anyway... It's a PII w/ 64MB ATI and a 19" CRT. Works like a champ. I'm using a Keywiz and it's working out great.

This is the original cab. It had Golden Tee... Sorry, got rid of the trackball already.

I went w/ the SFII layout for the CP. I added a couple buttons under the 1P and 2P - the left button is the MAME32 config menu button and the red button (says "START") is the enter button. With this setup I rarely use the SHAZZAM key.

I also added a few admin buttons on the bottom side of the CP... One is SHAZZAM, one is pause and one is escape.

This is the product so far.

I'm working on a new marquee... Not finished yet, but something close to this.

Nice job on the conversion. I like the clever twist on the MAME name.

Green t-molding would add a sweet touch.

Even without it the cab looks great!
