An ambitions project
« on: March 04, 2004, 05:01:06 pm »
After months of reading this board, I dove in and started on a project of my own.  I modeled it from some pictures of a joust cocktail that was for sale on ebay a while back.  Then I sized it to fit a 19" monitor I had and voila.

The control panels are designed to be swappable - starting with a standard two joystick, 6 button layout, I'm planning on doing a 4 way layout and a tron layout as well.

The basic structure is complete - I'm now working on the first set of swappable control panels.

Anyway, I've been reading about everyone else's projects for so long, I guess its about time I de-lurked.

Wow!
Almost looks like a regular cabinet with it's top cut off.

I don't really have any plans but if there's interest I could certainly work something up.  It turned out a lot more difficult to fit together than I expected.  Once I get it finished I'd be happy to provide some tips.
