Faulty IR bar? Or Aimtrak?
« on: September 26, 2024, 11:31:48 pm »
Hey everyone - I'm having trouble with my Aimtrak. It seemed to work fine at one point, but now on both my PC's, I can't get any IR signal showing. I think maybe the gun or IR bar is malfunctioning? My Aimtrak does show as connected in the Aimtrak program, firmware 9.20, Device 1. When I click the trigger, the mouse clicks in the very bottom left of the screen no matter where I point the gun. When I try to calibrate, the screen flashes but it never registers any clicks. It has this same behavior on both PCs. Any ideas are appreciated!

you can easily find out if your IR emitters are working by using your phones camera. the IR light will appear as a dim purple glow. depending on your camera and the filters in place on your camera, you may have to get up really close and be in a pretty dark room to see them. but this will verify if they are all functioning properly.
