Help - Game Launching in Mamewah
« on: March 06, 2004, 02:10:16 am »
Ok, I've tried everything.  I've read all the sites I could find, and searched for this...

I'm trying to wean myself off of Mame32.  I'm also trying to integrate all my emulators into one frontend.  From reading everything here, Mamewah seems to be the most logical choice.

Well, I'm no DOS expert.  I've got my game list up in Mamewah, but when I try to run the game, the Mame DOS screen comes up for a split second and then nothing else happens.  I'm taken right back to the Mamewah screen.  I must be missing something.  Any advice?

I also cannot get my screenshots to appear at the Mamewah screen.  I've followed the processes detailed at Stuzza's site, but no luck.  Again, any advice?

Whew.  That was long.  Any help or a link to a previous post would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

A few things to check:

Make sure you have the Windows Commandline version of MAME,
MAMEWAH's default options are all set for MAME, the only one you need to set is the 'Emulator Exectutable'.  (As long as your ROMS and SNAP folders are within your MAME folder, if not, set these too).
