Need Monitor Information WG 25k7194
« on: March 01, 2004, 10:59:07 am »
Greets All,
I picked up a WG 25" monitor a few weeks ago and am looking for any/all info on this particular model...an owner's manual would be especially helpful.  The monitor is a WG 25k7194...i believe its a Zenith Tube (evident by the zenith logo on the back :) ), but has WG hardware.  It was taken from a Simpsons Game.

I've searched the WG site to no avail, and the zenith site denies its very existance.  Also searches on the 'net yielded similar results.

as always thanks.

jeff

the manual for the 19" and 25" is virtually identical--the difference is in the scematics and parts (I have both in jpg format--PM your e-mail iof you want them--they are bigger than 1mb so hotmail or similiar will not accept them)

Thanks for the quick reply...are the 7191 and the 7194 the same monitor?

not sure but i suspect they are close--ken layton could likely give you the key differences or you could compare the schematic to the board in your possession.

The 7191, 7193, 7194, 7197 use the same main board and neck board. The only differences are the metal mounting frames on the picture tube. They all use P538 main boards. The schematic for the 7191 and 7193 will work just fine. The schematics are made to be used in conjunction with the regular k7000 (19") manual. The k7000 manual is at www.mikesarcade.com under monitor manuals.

I picked up this monitor also in a Tekken Tag machine and it seems the fuse is blown.
I went to my local Radio shack and got some Slow-Blow Fuses. 250 vold 1 1/4 x 1/4 MDL, 3SB, 313, MDC and they blew right away. Part #270-1023.

Since these are the wrong fuses I was hoping that someone could recommend the correct fuse I require.

Thanks, -

Aaron

The monitor should have a 2 amp slo-blo fuse. Radio Shack part number 270-1023 would indeed be the correct fuse for this monitor. The horizontal output transistor could be shorted or (more likely) capacitor C36 is shorted (which is common). That capaictor is underneath the aluminum horizontal output transistor heatsink frame next to the yoke connector.
