Playstation "type" pads for PC!
« on: February 26, 2004, 08:28:51 pm »
Hi!

I think this thread i'm posting may not be new, but i'm wondering if is there a company who makes Pads just like Playstation to PC!? It would be great since i've installed the Epsxe and that thing runs fairly great on my PC! I may buy one if such thing exists! I don't agree about hacking console pads that may be rare in the future or useful to someone who's a collector.

Sorry if was already discussed.  :)

There are alot of PSX to USB converters.  Why not use a real PSX pad that way?

Ohh! Ok! I was kinda away with the console equipment for some time! Can you tell me where to get those? Are they sold in Europe?

But i still wanted some alternatives because they might be cheaper. Instead of buying a PS pad and a adaptor i could buy a very similar pad to the PS, for PC, no adapter needed, it might come much cheaper!  ;D

Adapters can be found for ~$15 US.  Try Lik-sang.com for a pretty wide selection.  Some of them can take 2 or even 4 PS pads at once, so if you're looking to play multi-player, that may end up being your best option.  I have a USB pad that looks and feels just like a PS2 pad, and it ran me about $15 at EBGames.  Don't know offhand who makes it, though.

I bought two of these:

$5/ea, USB, and I absolutely prefer them to the original controllers.

I have a USB pad that looks & feels exactly like a PS2 pad. Off the top of my head I think it's made by Gravis.
