Hi guys
Around 2006 I posted a thread in here regarding my wife having bought a Cruis'n World sit-down with a defective monitor. Thanks to this forum I managed to fix the monitor by changing a resistor

Years went by and we moved to another house. Due to events (like narrow doors and stuff) we couldn't fit the machine in. So, a friend picked it up to go on route - at the other end of the country (Denmark). Now we just moved to yet another house, and Cruis'n World can fit in again. We just got it back from our friend.
I recently pulled away from working with hardware - this means that I try to not use my soldering iron, lab. power supply, microcontrollers etc. I try to keep to software to keep my life simple. I have worked a lot with personal hardware projects, also arcade and pinball machines, but decided to pull away. However, I will need to go back to HW now

When I turn it on, I have problems with the vertical hold. It is wobbling and squeezed. I am thinking capacitors. Please see the attached pictures. I am also weirded out about the HV-splitter(?) that is just hanging. I would really appreciate advice on what to do to fix the monitor.

I am not keen on suggesting this, but should I consider an LCD? After all, this is not a classic game like Pac-Man or Galaga where scaling issues can wreck the gameplay. I have seen people that have installed 1.78:1 LCD TV's in their Cruis'n cabinets - this is NOT for me. I would not be good at coping with the stretching. However, if I could get a 24" - 26" 16:10 monitor then I would stretch the image less. What do you think?
Thanks for your time. Its really awesome to pick up talking about the same machine after so many years!
