Groovy Mame crashes on startup
« on: June 07, 2021, 12:05:05 pm »
Hi guys.

I have a PC in a JAMMA cabinet hooked up to a 24" 15k monitor, running Windows 7 64bit and Groovy MAME 229.

It was working perfectly with a mobility HD 5550 in it.  After rummaging through my pile of old PC parts I came across a HD 7770 card which I thought would be an improvement over the 5550.

After reinstalling Atom-15, crt emudriver and rerunning vmmaker It's working fine in wondows again with the 15k monitor.  However, whenever I try to run Groovy MAME, it crashes with the following error:

Normal MAME still works fine.  What have I (not) done wrong?

OK, problem resolved...

No idea why it wasn't working but a reinstall of Win 7 and all the software fixed the issue.  I'm just grateful I made the decision to keep all ROMs/CHDs etc on a separate drive.
