Whadaya call that metal saw guide thingy
« on: February 25, 2004, 05:16:57 pm »
I'm looking for this thing, it's like an "L" shaped piece of metal that you can clamp to your wood when making straight cuts with a circular or other type of saw.  If I recall corectly they look something like this... the thing that looks like a G is a c-clamp incase my drawing is too bad
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

If this is a test, I'd say Fence Guide, but I have no idea at all. I just hate tests...  :-\

Thanks for the offer Ed, but I kind of live in an apartment and have no place to work on my cab, like, start to finish.  I'm more or less going to be borrowing tools and space from anyone that will let me.  Kind of stretching out the building process, I know, but you do what you can...  Matter of fact, I'm probably going to be using a router for all my cuts cuz I don't have a jigsaw and my circular saw is 14.4v cordless and runs out of juice wicked fast.

About the whole guide thing, I'm not as dumb as I sound.  I just didn't know if there was some special name for these things.  I even search for one on the web I just came up with people saying to use a 2x4 as a "guide" blah blah blah.

I didn't mean that you were dumb or anything like that I was simply trying to be funny and get a chance to hang out with a fellow New England MAMME-R

I'm sorry if I offended you in anyway

Believe me Ed, I took absolutly no offense by that.  I too was just jokin' arround.  And if you realy wanna hang out some time I can just pack all my crap into my jetta and come use your facilities to put this thing together :P j/k  I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to fit it back into the jetta for the trip home.

Maybe we can have a beer sometime... after I turn 21 in april of course  ;D

Well, not many people know it, but in Concord, NH there is a ghetto, yup it's true (I'm not too sure how it compares to real ghettos but it sure seems pretty ghetto to me), and that's where I live :P  So basicaly that's a no... I don't jetski.

I can definitly relate to the drinking more before I turn 21 though... ;D

Oh yea, I just remembered something.  In the near future, when I get some money, I'm planning on taking a trip to the natic mall to get some aladdin's castle tokens and to RI for some guy to install a modchip in my ps2.  You live in mass right?  Maybe I can stop buy, check out your collection, chat about arcades and stuff.
