Swap Nanao MS8-26SU for WG 27K7502?
« on: April 26, 2021, 01:55:04 pm »
Hi all --

I have a Sega Virtua Cop 2 (Sega Model 2) with a fuzzy, dim monitor that will not register the guns.

I acquired a Wells-Gardner 27K7502.

Will it work with the game?

Any advice in terms of making the swap?

I have no idea yet if the WG monitor is working or not. I plan on recapping it and inspecting it thoroughly before attempting the swap.

unless the nanao tube is bad i would suggest a service for the chassis, most likely there are some leaky capacitors that could do with replacing
I would imagine you could find someone to service the chassis at a reasonable price or do it yourself if you have some soldering skills
