Groovymame Question
« on: February 21, 2021, 01:16:03 pm »
Tutorials for setting up Groovymame show extracting regular mame to a folder first, then overwriting those files with Groovymame's files. Is this the best way to go?

I noticed that Groovymame does not contain all of the files that regular mame has.

Yes. You could keep a copy of the vanilla MAME executable if you were feeling nostalgic.

Important: in Windows, just unzip and run! Ignore instructions about downloading official MAME and replacing the binary.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.
