Hantarex Polo 28 Star horizontal offset
« on: June 10, 2020, 01:32:48 pm »
Hello, I've been trying to get a cabinet up and running with the Hantarex Polo 28 Star, connected to a Pandoras Box 4 via SVGA (as a test). Image is visible (after adjusting screen), but offset to the left (image 1).

Hantarex service manual says that the Star will detect signal frequency automatically. I have adjusted H Freq on the control board (image 2, bottom green pot), but it does not appear to do anything untill I hit the limit, and then the screen switches suddenly to image 3 (appears to show the part of display that is normally missing due to offset). The Pandorax Box 4 will output to a standard LCD monitor fine.

It has me stumped. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

pretty sure polostar can go max 35khz, they did make a svga version but that would be printed on the label

Ah. OK, I think you are right. I hooked the Pandoras Box up via the Jamma RGB and I get a decent image (attached). Thanks!

Now I need to identify the old multi-game system that was in the machine - I'll post a new question for that.
